Overview

Our Client, a concrete material manufacturing company is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment to ensure efficiency, safety, and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
• Complete preventative maintenance on all production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, quality, and efficiency
• Assist in training machine operators on lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance and repair records
• Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and materials
• Recommend and assist with installation of new equipment and production line improvements
• Support efforts to reduce equipment-related production downtime
• Perform general facility maintenance and mechanical repairs as needed
• Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
• Diagnose equipment issues using observation, testing tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Ensure equipment is optimized for efficient and timely changeovers
• Respond to facility and equipment service calls as required
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment required

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret:- Technical diagrams

  • Equipment manuals
  • Engineering specifications

• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication skills across multiple levels of an organization

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Capable of working 10-hour shifts and performing repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working in hot and cold industrial environments
