Job Description

One of our manufacturing client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the safe and reliable operation of production equipment in Fort Wayne,IN location

Pay Rate: $30.00 – $33.00/hour

Shift: 2nd / 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and industrial equipment.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.

• Inspect equipment to identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components.

• Repair or replace bearings, belts, chains, gears, motors, pumps, valves, cylinders, and other mechanical components.

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.

• Perform equipment adjustments, alignments, installations, and modifications as required.

• Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, and scheduled maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade school preferred.

• 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Experience maintaining automated production equipment.

• Knowledge of motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and industrial machinery.

• Experience with welding, fabrication, or machining.
