Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for our facility in Dayville, CT. In this role, you will leverage your deep understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors) and multi-craft repair expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and install a wide variety of systems and equipment. You will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, ensuring our production and facilities equipment runs efficiently and reliably.
System Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal/positive displacement pumps, and AC/DC electrical systems.
Read schematics and utilize electrical testing equipment (e.g., Volt-Ohm meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes) to pinpoint issues.
Preventative Maintenance:
Contribute to and implement preventative maintenance programs and work order tracking to minimize downtime.
Inspect machinery, develop repair lists, and identify both short-term and long-term solutions to maintain maximum equipment efficiency.
Multi-Craft Operations:
Perform interrelated repairs on both electrical and mechanical systems, including working with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs).
Operate a range of equipment, such as lathes, mills, and arc/Heliarc welders for repair and fabrication tasks.
Team Support & Safety:
Assist entry-level mechanics with complex repairs and provide technical guidance when needed.
Work safely in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces while strictly following safety protocols.

Technical Expertise:
Proven base knowledge in mechanical maintenance repair, with a strong focus on electrical repair and multi-craft maintenance.
Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors) and experience reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
Training & Certifications:
Electrical certification, maintenance manufacturing experience, technical school training, or welding experience is highly desirable.
Although not mandatory, at least two years of hands-on training or experience in mechanical/electrical repair in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical & Operational Requirements:
Ability to lift between 15 to 50 pounds.
Capable of standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and stretching for extended periods.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
