This person is responsible for utilizing tooling, equipment and materials for preventative and corrective maintenance on all production equipment as well as maintenance and repairs to plant facility. This position is critical for ensuring equipment and facilities are operational for production of diamond blades and bits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Methods
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility systems
- Trouble shooting and repair all production equipment
- Installation, relocation and removal of production machines and support services
- General repairs to building systems
- Follow company policies to insure compliance of EPA and environmental regulations in the maintenance processes
- Follow company policies to insure compliance of OSHA safety and health regulations in the maintenance processes
Machinery
- Organization and selection of proper tooling and materials to fulfill work requirements
- Maintain specialized knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing equipment operation and facility systems
- Cleaning of equipment as part of preventative maintenance process
- General electrical repairs
Measurements
- Perform quality checks on machinery and facility systems to ensure that repairs are effective
- Record quality data and preventative maintenance record keeping

CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Working knowledge of basic industrial math
- Working knowledge of the metric system of weights and measurements
- Working knowledge of using micrometer for measurements
- Working knowledge of using bore gauging and dial indicators
- Advanced knowledge of machinery repair techniques to include pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical
EDUCATION, ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE
- High school or equivalent
- At least 2 years of technical training and experience with concentration in industrial maintenance and electrical repair required
- Previous working experience in a machinery and facility maintenance environment preferred
- Ability to lift, push/pull and stand for long periods of time
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Above average exposure to manufacturing environment
- Job tasks will require contact with sharp edges on machined components, powdered metal dusts and grime associated with manufacturing operations
- Must wear PPE in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Frequently lifting up to 30 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Occasionally push/pull up to 15 lbs.
- Walking and standing for long periods of time on concrete floors (full shifts)
- Daily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines
