The maintenance mechanic supports production efficiencies by ensuring repair and preventive maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment and plant facilities. Opportunities exists for advanced training in manufacturing maintenance: thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound, precision alignment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to urgent problems with equipment or facilities.
- Execute assigned work orders of installing new equipment, repair/replace malfunctioning components, or preventive maintenance activities.
- Document tasks by filling out forms.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Interact with production personnel to diagnose issues with the ability to decide course of action.
- Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED and completion of formal certified training program with completion certificates and a minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Able to read and interpret procedures to execute work tasks.
- Understanding of basic OSHA safety standards for general industry.
- Mechanical aptitude: using tools and measuring devices, basic understanding of piping, rotating parts, pneumatic. hydraulic systems, and mechanical systems with panel controls.
- Must be a team player and model the Values and Expectations of the organization and it’s parent company.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, lift, carry repetitively.
- Lift 50 lbs to waist high.
- Periodically work in an environment where dust is present (pigment) with use of a dust mask / respirator.
- Handle exposure to outside environment with hot or cold temperatures.
