Maintenance Mechanic
A well-established manufacturing company in the Cedar Park, TX area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support a busy industrial production environment. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment that keeps large-scale construction manufacturing operations moving.
This company supports major commercial and infrastructure-related projects across Texas and offers the chance to work around heavy production equipment, diesel and gas-powered machinery, hydraulic systems, and industrial maintenance operations. The right candidate will be safety-minded, mechanically strong, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where equipment reliability directly impacts production.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift
Pay: $25.00–$35.00/hour, depending on experience
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will help maintain and repair a variety of production and heavy-duty equipment used in an industrial manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel and gas engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, production machinery, and related equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and complete repairs in a timely, safe, and efficient manner
- Inspect equipment for safety concerns, defects, worn components, and needed repairs
- Support preventative maintenance efforts to help reduce downtime and keep production running smoothly
- Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools, multi-meters, and other shop equipment
- Communicate equipment concerns, safety risks, and repair needs to management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
- Follow OSHA standards and company safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and the ability to work independently while also supporting a team-based production environment.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum of 2+ years of maintenance or mechanic experience
- Experience working with production machinery, on-road equipment, off-road equipment, or heavy industrial equipment
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and identify practical repair solutions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial setting
- Must have your own tools
- Technical school, vocational training, or related certifications preferred but not required
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and reliability
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work around equipment throughout the shift
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor industrial conditions
