Overview: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of mechanical equipment and systems in industrial and commercial settings. This role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and physical stamina.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using various testing devices and analytical methods.

Repair or replace faulty equipment parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment.

Install new machinery and equipment according to specifications and safety guidelines.

Read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and manuals.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.

Respond to emergency repair requests in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments as needed.

Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks when required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in a related field preferred.

Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.

Ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.

Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, Electrical) are a plus.
