Job Overview

Our client (food manufacturer) is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics / Electro-Mechanical Technicians to support the maintenance and reliability of production equipment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to minimize downtime and keep production running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, packaging lines, rotary equipment, carton fillers, blow mold machines, bottle trimmers, baggers, and debaggers.
• Perform preventative and planned maintenance to reduce equipment breakdowns and downtime.
• Respond quickly to equipment failures and production issues.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and adjustments.
• Perform inspections and identify potential equipment problems before they cause downtime.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, downtime, inspections, and parts used or replaced.
• Follow all company safety procedures and ensure equipment operates safely.
• Maintain compliance with GMP and SQF standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Electro-Mechanical Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Manufacturing or production equipment maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with conveyors, packaging equipment, blow molding, or similar production machinery is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical documentation and schematics.
• Strong preventative maintenance and equipment-repair skills.
• Must have your own tools.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
• Commitment to following safety, GMP, and SQF requirements.
