Location: Richmond, VA /  Schedule: Monday through Friday, Days, On-Call / Salary: Salary Range $100,000 to $120,000 Depending on Experience with Bonus and Excellent Benefits

HandCraft Linen and Uniform Services is

seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Maintenance Manager to join our team and manage our Richmond, Virginia Retail Medical plant.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Manager to join our team. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations, including equipment upkeep, facility maintenance, and team management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, along with proven leadership experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective maintenance processes, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards. Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during maintenance activities. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Supervise technicians in completion of routine inspections and preventative maintenance procedures. Conduct regular audits of the equipment and facilities to ensure quality work is being performed.

  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Support technicians in troubleshooting and good repair practices.

  • Operational Support: Work with other departments to ensure overall equipment effectiveness.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with and lead maintenance technicians, share knowledge, and provide technical support when needed.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Manage CMMS and work order system compliance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.

  • Inventory and Procurement: Oversee parts inventory, restock program, and place orders for new supplies.

  • Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers.

  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Corporate Engineering Department on operational improvements.

  • Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and training to technicians to enhance their technical skills and ensure the effective transfer of knowledge within the team.

  • Other duties as required

Maintenance Manager Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. (Additional technical certifications preferred)

  • Has a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in an industrial/manufacturing facility.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities.

  • Has excellent working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles.

  • Has a great team focused attitude and leadership qualities.

  • Is excited to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

  • Is physically able to perform the duties of the job.

  • Is willing to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
