SUMMARY: This facility is part of our Prepared Foods business unit. The Maintenance Manager I is responsible for supervising the maintenance of production equipment buildings and utilities including ammonia compressors offal and Wastewater Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plant Improvement and Expansion:

  • Assist in planning and executing plant improvements and expansions.

Training and Development:

  • Ensure all maintenance personnel are proficient in operating equipment and possess necessary maintenance skills.
  • Implement training programs to keep staff updated on operating equipment and maintenance practices.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain a safe workplace environment, complying with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, OSHA, PSM, and environmental regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Communicate and enforce safety programs effectively.

Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • Continuously monitor plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and promptly address issues.
  • Maintain refrigeration and wastewater systems to meet regulatory guidelines.

Maintenance Management System:

  • Establish and manage a computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for tracking work orders and maintaining an adequate inventory of replacement parts.

Data Analysis and Recommendations:

  • Analyze maintenance data to identify areas for improvement in plant operations and maintenance processes.
  • Make recommendations for enhancing plant operations based on data analysis.

Personnel Management:

  • Ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained, equipped, and motivated to carry out maintenance programs efficiently and safely.
  • Implement the Coastal Training system for necessary skillsets and provide required resources.

Budget Administration:

  • Administer the maintenance budget and ensure financial goals are achieved.
  • Monitor and administer the purchasing and use of parts, equipment, materials, and supplies in the maintenance department.

Performance Tracking:

  • Maintain a tracking system to analyze key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, and PM compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 6 plus years maintenance experience.
  • Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills.
  • Special Skills: Industrial Maintenance in fields such as electrical refrigeration hydraulics or mechanical.
  • Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks.
  • Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered.
