Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Wickliffe, OH

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead their small maintenance team while also performing hands-on maintenance tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial equipment maintenance, troubleshooting electrical/PLC systems, and mechanical repairs while effectively coordinating maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a small maintenance department, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Work closely with corporate and department heads to advise on capital expenditure needs.
• Independently handle complex maintenance tasks and communicate progress effectively.
• Utilize CMMS software to track inventory, schedule maintenance, and modify task assignments.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, best practices, and customer specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean department, ensuring PPE and LOTO procedures are followed.
• Monitor and maintain mean time to repair (MTTR) and provide accurate time estimates for task completion.
• Schedule and coordinate maintenance services, including press, crane, and air compressor repairs.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to minimize downtime and schedule repairs effectively.
• Track maintenance team performance and conduct periodic reviews.

Additional Considerations:

• Position is based at our Wickliffe, OH Corporate Headquarters and reports to the Corporate Plant Engineer.
• Must be available for emergency maintenance situations, including occasional unscheduled hours.
• Occasional travel may be required for local site visits, vendor meetings, or training.

Key Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for PLC, electrical, and control systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Effective leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Proficiency with mathematical calculations, precision measuring tools, and electronic diagnostic devices.
• Must be organized, practical, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks (standing, climbing, kneeling, bending) for up to 10 hours a day.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
