We are a minority-owned manufacturing company in the Atlanta area specializing in the development and manufacturing of consumer products. Our operation brings laboratory, manufacturing, filling, and packaging capabilities together within a fast-paced production environment.
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance function and ensure the reliability of production equipment and facility utilities.
This is a hands-on leadership position, not a desk-only management role. The Maintenance Manager will lead and develop a small team of maintenance technicians while remaining directly involved in troubleshooting complex equipment issues, improving equipment reliability, and strengthening preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Lead, schedule, coach, and develop maintenance technicians
Assign daily maintenance priorities and ensure work is completed safely and effectively
Lead troubleshooting and repair of complex production equipment failures
Perform hands-on electrical, controls, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting as needed
Own the site's preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Improve PM compliance, equipment uptime, and overall equipment reliability
Analyze recurring failures and lead root-cause corrective actions
Maintain and improve the critical spare parts program
Support the reliability of facility utilities, including boilers, air compressors, and HVAC systems
Coordinate maintenance activities and equipment downtime with Production
Manage outside contractors and specialty service providers
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within the maintenance management system
Plan and support equipment installations, modifications, commissioning, and planned maintenance outages
Track key maintenance metrics including downtime, PM completion, and repeat equipment failures
Partner closely with Production, Quality, Engineering/R&D, Human Resources, and plant leadership
Support safety programs including lockout/tagout, hot work, contractor safety, and equipment safety
Assist with maintenance budgeting and cost management
Serve as a trusted member of plant leadership and provide additional leadership support when needed
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
2+ years of experience leading or supervising maintenance technicians
Strong hands-on electrical and controls troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment
Strong mechanical troubleshooting capabilities
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Demonstrated experience developing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Experience troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment failures
Experience maintaining facility utilities such as boilers, compressed air systems, and HVAC
Strong understanding of equipment reliability, downtime reduction, and root-cause problem solving
Experience coaching, training, developing, and holding maintenance employees accountable
Working knowledge of manufacturing safety practices including OSHA requirements
Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Quality, and other plant functions
Ability to respond to occasional equipment or utility emergencies outside normal working hours
7+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Experience in chemical, food, beverage, bottling, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or another regulated manufacturing environment
Experience working in a GMP/cGMP manufacturing environment
Experience with CMMS software
Experience with TPM, World Class Maintenance, or another formal reliability program
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Equivalent hands-on industrial maintenance experience will be considered in place of a degree.
We're looking for more than someone who can manage a maintenance schedule.
The right Maintenance Manager is a visible, hands-on leader who is equally comfortable developing technicians and stepping onto the production floor to help diagnose a difficult equipment failure. You should be able to establish priorities, hold your team accountable, improve technical capability, and build maintenance systems that reduce downtime rather than simply reacting when equipment fails.
You'll be successful here if you enjoy solving problems, developing people, improving equipment reliability, and taking ownership of the maintenance function.
$105,000–$115,000 base salary
Annual bonus opportunity up to 5%
Profit sharing potential
Leadership role with direct influence on plant reliability and performance
Opportunity to develop and strengthen a growing maintenance organization
Stable, full-time employment with a minority-owned manufacturing company
