Job Overview:

Job title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Savannah, GA

World-changing careers, enabled by Johnson Matthey. With more than 200 years history, join us and help to accelerate the transition to net-zero! As a Maintenance Manager, you’ll contribute to JM’s mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.

Why join us?

This is a rare opportunity to lead meaningful change at a legacy chemical manufacturing site undergoing a transformation. As Maintenance Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind maintenance excellence — proactively identifying and resolving equipment issues, reducing downtime, and supporting greater production. You’ll bring fresh energy and perspective to cross-functional teams, enabling innovative solutions and continuous improvement that elevate performance across the entire site.

You’ll be working with a tenured, skilled team on a complex, high-hazard site, where your influence will directly shape culture, safety, and long-term reliability. If you’re a hands-on, people-first leader who thrives in challenging environments and finds purpose in turning potential into performance, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

About the site

At Johnson Matthey's Savannah site, we are at the forefront of sustainable chemical innovation. Our facility, located at 115 Eli Whitney Blvd, serves as a pivotal hub for developing advanced fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) additives. With more than 200 dedicated colleagues, we combine expertise and collaboration to drive breakthroughs in cleaner energy solutions.

Why Savannah, GA?

Savannah, GA offers more than just a place to work — it’s a place to live well. With its rich history, stunning architecture, and iconic oak-lined streets, the city blends old-world charm with modern convenience. Add in a welcoming community and a lower cost of living compared to many metro areas, and it’s easy to see why so many professionals are proud to call Savannah home!

We welcome talent from beyond Georgia and are pleased to offer relocation assistance for the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to join a site with strong leadership commitment, a clear transformation journey, and the chance to make a lasting impact — all in the vibrant city of Savannah.
