Summary:  Oversee all installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment, facilities and custodial staff. Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance processes and activities. Confer with leadership, engineering, and others regarding maintenance work. Ensure co-workers have resources available to complete duties according to allotted budget.

  • Establishes priorities and sets expectations for the maintenance staff, custodial staff, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Manages budget, monitors expenditures, identifies variances and implements corrective actions.
  • Oversees facility systems and associated equipment, including preventative/predictive maintenance  programs, operating and testing systems and equipment.
  • Performs inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with contractors, OEMs and service providers.
  • Monitors equipment/spare parts inventory and places orders when necessary.
  • Monitors electrical and hydraulic systems of facilities to ensure functionality.
  • Plans and oversees all repair and installation activities.
  • Coaches, mentors, trains, and develops maintenance employees to meet current and future business requirements.
  • Maintains maintenance logs and reports on daily activities.
  • Champions and ensures compliance with health and safety policies

Qualifications


Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field and 8 years maintenance experience and at least 5 years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of facility machines and equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, schematics, and sketches.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands for majority of work shift.
  • Will be exposed to loud noises, vibrations, extreme hot/cold; confined spaces; atmospheric conditions and other physical conditions/hazards.
