Description

Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, the Maintenance Manager will work in our Plymouth Meeting PA facility. This individual plays a pivotal role within our operations, ensuring that all operating equipment and facilities are functioning efficiently and safely. This position directly impacts the productivity and quality of products delivered. This role is responsible for managing, revising, and developing maintenance improvements. This is a leadership role and will have direct responsibility to manage a team of maintenance professionals to achieve operational excellence. Must be hands-on and a proven trouble shooter, willing to be the substitute mechanic when needed.

· Developing and implementing maintenance strategies and procedures that minimize equipment downtime and operational disruptions while improving manufacturing efficiency.

· Supervising and managing the maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance activities are performed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.

· Conducting regular inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify areas for improvement and compliance with health and safety regulations.

· Implementing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety and mechanical processes and reduce costs.

· Planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance work.

· Ensuring that all maintenance work is documented according to internal and external requirements. Help revive the MRO program and software with engineering and have a robust preventative/predictive documented program.

· Monitoring the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, planning re-orders to avoid delays in maintenance activities.

· Training and developing maintenance staff to enhance their skill sets and efficiency.

· Responding promptly to emergency situations involving equipment breakdowns, mitigating potential hazards or interruptions. This includes on call responsibilities for fire/building alarms and power/boiler breakdowns.


Requirements

· High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s degree or higher a plus.

· Must provide one’s own tools required to perform job responsibilities 

· 10 years’ related manufacturing experience, preferably in liquid filling. (Filling / packaging / bottles/ cans/ filling containers). Hazardous environment experience a plus. 

· Acceptable industries: beverage, dairy, brewing, food, or other high velocity consumer goods filling experience 

· Experience with chemical batching and/ or filling lines 

· Electrical, Pneumatic, and Mechanical troubleshooting


Physical Requirements

· Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant

· Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as climbing, lifting objects up above shoulder level weighing up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time 

· Able work in extreme temperatures, indoors and out

· Overtime will frequently be necessary
