The Maintenance Manager at Cytiva ensures the reliable operation of filtration manufacturing machinery. Key duties include leading maintenance technicians, managing activities, ensuring safety compliance, following engineering drawings and SOPs, and assembling and repairing equipment. This role encompasses Machine Operator, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician tasks.

This position is part of the Maintenance department located in Pensacola, FL and will be Onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you'll do

  • Equipment Maintenance and Operations: Develop and implement maintenance schedules; oversee installation, repair, and maintenance of filtration equipment, HVAC systems, and other machinery; conduct regular inspections; address equipment failures promptly.
  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to cGMP and OSHA standards; conduct safety audits, inspections, and training sessions.
  • Space Management and Optimization: Optimize facility space for efficiency and growth; manage inventory of supplies and equipment; collaborate on office reconfigurations and layout improvements.
  • Budget Management and Cost Control: Develop and manage facility budget; identify cost-saving opportunities; optimize spending without compromising safety or quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement initiatives to enhance operations, reduce energy consumption, and improve sustainability; lead or participate in lean and process improvement projects.
  • Predictive, Preventive, and Corrective Maintenance: Establish preventive maintenance programs; develop predictive maintenance strategies; troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly; ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.

Who you are:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within a healthcare or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in facility management software, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and MS Office suite
  • Experienced in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and control systems with an Associate's degree or 4-5 years of industry experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with knowledge of equipment maintenance practices and techniques.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledge of PLC, logical controls and associated programming software
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting programmable frequency drives (VFD) and their relationship to the process
