The Maintenance Manager is responsible for setting the strategic vision and managing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department at the Pasadena site. This role drives plant reliability, leads maintenance and reliability programs, manages contractor performance, and ensures safe, efficient plant operations. The manager collaborates with regional sites, Engineering, EHS, and other departments to implement best practices and maintain cost-effective maintenance strategies.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Lead and develop the site maintenance team, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-efficient plant operations.
• Oversee the site’s reliability program for fixed and rotating equipment, supporting preventive, predictive, and total productive maintenance (TPM).
• Manage site maintenance budget (~$3MM) and drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising reliability or safety.
• Serve as liaison between Pasadena and regional Houston sites to ensure effective use of maintenance contractors and alignment of regional initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership for equipment failures, root cause analysis, and implementation of long-term reliability solutions.
• Support project scope development, capital planning, and startup activities for expansions and upgrades.
• Champion the use of SAP systems for maintenance tracking, work orders, and spare parts inventory optimization.
• Participate in PHAs, MOC, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews to ensure mechanical feasibility and safety compliance.
• Manage and oversee the site’s mechanical integrity program in alignment with OSHA PSM standards.
• Develop succession and training plans for maintenance staff to build a resilient and independent department.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related technical field.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in industrial manufacturing; supervisory or management experience is a strong asset. Strong knowledge of reliability engineering practices and mechanical integrity systems.
• Proven experience leading teams, managing change, and resolving conflicts constructively.
• platforms for maintenance and inventory management.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, EHS, and external contractors.
• Solid understanding of OSHA PSM and regulatory requirements for maintenance.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a “safety-first” mindset.
• Ability to manage and influence regional initiatives and implement site-wide process improvements.
