Job Description
Reports directly to the Facilities Engineering and Maintenance Manager-Multisite and is responsible for leading day-to-day maintenance operations for the manufacturing facility. Oversees maintenance personnel, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance execution, and facility support activities to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. Partners closely with production and operational leadership teams to achieve operational, safety, quality, and cost objectives.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise plant maintenance personnel and daily maintenance activities to support operational uptime, production efficiency, and equipment reliability goals
- Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance
- Support implementation and sustainment of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure maintenance work orders are properly prioritized, assigned, completed, and documented within the CMMS system
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to reduce maintenance costs and improve operational capability
- Assist in managing maintenance department budgets, maintenance inventory, and spare parts control
- Partners with engineering, production, and safety teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions
- Supervise contractors and outside service providers performing maintenance or facility-related work
- Support installation, startup, and optimization of new equipment, machinery, and facility systems
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Responsible and accountable for maintenance performance metrics as identified within the operations scorecard, including downtime, PM completion, safety, and cost performance. Support reporting and corrective action planning for performance variances
- Support fabrication, repair, and modification of production fixtures, tooling, and equipment as needed
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Associate or Bachelor degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory or team leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance systems including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs, CMMS systems, and equipment troubleshooting
- Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Previous supervisory experience leading maintenance technicians or skilled trades personnel
- Working knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and maintenance KPI management
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and maintenance-related software systems
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and/or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) systems
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification
- Experience in large-scale manufacturing environments
- Experience with woodworking, automated production equipment, finishing systems, or related manufacturing processes
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification or experience
- Experience coordinating equipment installations, facility upgrades, or capital improvement projects
