Job Overview:

Maintenance Manager

We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing company seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations within its production facility. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys solving complex electrical and automation challenges while developing a high-performing maintenance team.

This opportunity is ideal for a maintenance professional with a strong background in industrial electrical systems, manufacturing automation, PLC troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Experience supporting Mitsubishi PLCs is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

Lead Maintenance Operations

  • Manage all maintenance activities for production equipment, facility systems, and plant infrastructure.
  • Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors.
  • Coordinate work performed by internal maintenance personnel, outside contractors, and equipment vendors.
  • Establish a culture centered around safety, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.

Electrical & Automation Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting electrical and automation-related equipment failures.
  • Support maintenance and optimization of PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment, with emphasis on Mitsubishi PLC systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical controls, motors, drives, VFDs, sensors, and automated production equipment.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, automation improvements, and new equipment installations.
  • Work closely with engineering and production to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime.

Reliability & Preventive Maintenance

  • Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Lead root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.
  • Plan and oversee major equipment repairs, shutdowns, and facility improvement projects.
  • Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and work order documentation.
  • Track key performance metrics including equipment uptime, downtime, MTBF, and maintenance costs.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor costs.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and negotiate maintenance contracts and service agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment and automated production systems.
  • Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation.
  • Proven experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.

Preferred

  • Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs.
  • Experience with robotics, automated assembly equipment, or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Experience managing capital equipment projects, facility upgrades, and plant shutdowns.
  • Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.

  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends during equipment shutdowns or emergency repairs.
