About the Opportunity
We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at an established manufacturing facility.
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, team leadership, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will work closely with Operations and Production leadership to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and available to meet production demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily maintenance operations and personnel.
- Plan, schedule, assign, and prioritize maintenance work based on production requirements.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and systems.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and pumps.
- Maintain and troubleshoot overhead crane systems.
- Perform welding on aluminum and steel.
- Safely operate cutting torches, power tools, and related maintenance equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues with or without prints/schematics.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors when specialized work is required.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance processes, safety, and productivity.
- Partner with Production to prioritize critical maintenance needs.
- Lead and develop maintenance personnel while maintaining strong morale and accountability.
- Support after-hours/on-call maintenance needs as required.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous-improvement mindset.
Requirements
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Previous Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager experience required.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Proven knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting/programming.
- Strong preventive maintenance experience.
- Experience with overhead crane systems.
- Welding experience with aluminum and steel.
- Experience troubleshooting pumps, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical prints.
- Willingness to be a hands-on leader.
- Ability to prioritize maintenance activities based on production requirements.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
