Summary

This role is responsible for the facility's overall maintenance program, which includes ensuring that equipment is operated and maintained according to manufacturer specifications, work performed meets safety requirements, and all maintenance workers follow appropriate federal and state safety guidelines. This position is responsible for creating and following preventive maintenance schedules, leading the maintenance staff, and inspecting and testing equipment and building systems.

We are looking for a knowledgeable Maintenance Manager to oversee all capital projects, repair, and upkeep of the company’s facilities, including maintaining the ammonia refrigeration system (PSM Program). 

This role requires a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. They will be well-versed in all maintenance processes, and OSHA and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have an aptitude in performing administrative tasks such as KPI reporting, managing maintenance department expenses, and processing ADP staff approvals. 

Essential Duties / Responsibilities 

1. Oversee and direct maintenance personnel, equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance. 
2. Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation. 
3. Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues. 
4. Check electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality. 
5. Purchase and manage all related maintenance supplies and plant equipment repair parts for all equipment in the facility. 
6. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary. 
7. Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance. 
8. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. 
9. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities. 
10. Actively promotes a safe work environment through training and adherence to safety protocols.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 7 years Maintenance Management Experience
• Minimum of 5 years Ammonia Refrigeration Experience (PSM- Process Safety Management, PHA- Process Hazard Analysis, Mechanical Integrity Program) 
• OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred 
• Electrical Installation Certification preferred
