Maintenance Manager
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee all maintenance activities for one of our manufacturing clients near the Fayetteville, TN area. This position will be responsible for developing and executing preventive maintenance programs, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring the plant’s machinery and infrastructure operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all maintenance activities across the manufacturing facility, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Lead, develop, and support the maintenance team while establishing clear priorities and performance expectations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Utilize the plant’s CMMS to manage work orders, PMs, maintenance history, parts, labor, and equipment records.
- Drive improvements in machine and equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime and recurring equipment failures.
- Analyze maintenance and downtime data to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment and process issues.
- Partner with Production and Engineering to improve equipment performance, support new equipment installations, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with Quality to address equipment-related quality issues and ensure maintenance activities support product quality.
- Implement and promote Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles throughout maintenance operations.
- Establish and track maintenance KPIs, including downtime, PM completion, equipment reliability, and maintenance costs.
- Manage maintenance projects, outside contractors, vendors, and service providers as needed.
- Maintain appropriate levels of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies while controlling department costs.
- Ensure maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Develop long-term maintenance strategies and capital improvement recommendations to support plant operations.
- Participate in plant leadership meetings and contribute to overall operational and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of maintenance management or maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience working with a CMMS and using maintenance data to drive decisions.
- Demonstrated success improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project-management abilities.
