Maintenance Manager - Baton Rouge
$35/hr.
Full-Time
**Monday-Friday 7 am - 4 pm. Shift Varies, and overtime when needed.

The
Maintenance Manager
is responsible for leading and managing all maintenance operations. This role oversees technician teams, ensures efficient preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and minimizes equipment downtime across all operational departments. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in manufacturing maintenance, with strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills. This position plays a key role in improving equipment reliability through proactive maintenance planning, root cause analysis, and effective resource management. The Maintenance Manager may also support daily production activities at the direction of the Site Manager and must consistently uphold safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, and monitor the Maintenance team, including, Mechanics as needed
- Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across all departments
- Develop, maintain, and execute weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance plans
- Ensure immediate repair of inoperable equipment to prevent production downtime
- Maintain facilities and equipment through timely repairs and modifications
- Conduct daily safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture
- Maintain spare parts lists and manage inventory of shop supplies
- Perform inventory counts and documentation management
- Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure maintenance needs are met
- Utilize CMMS systems or spreadsheets to track maintenance activities and optimize workflows
- Create, upload, and manage maintenance documents and reports
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate professionally via Microsoft Teams and email
- Assist with daily production supervision when required
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated expertise in maintenance operations and equipment reliability
- Advanced knowledge of tools, mechanical systems, and electrical systems
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Certified Lift Truck (Forklift) Operator

- Ability to read and use measuring devices accurately
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises and monitors all Maintenance Department personnel
- Assists in daily production supervision as needed
Work Environment
- Work is performed both inside and outside the Baton Rouge recycling/manufacturing facility
- This is an
onsite
position and
not eligible for remote work
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands, arms, and fingers to handle equipment and tools
- Required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
