Currently, we are seeking a Line Maintenance Mechanic for our Olive Branch, MS.

Requirements

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for promoting a safety culture and awareness throughout the plant and within their area. Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Safe and efficient packaging line operation to meet or exceed all quality, scheduling, and customer requirements.
  • Perform technical work while running lines in pneumatic, hydraulic,  electrical, and mechanical areas.
  • Root cause analysis to troubleshoot and eliminate primary causes of downtime, etc. to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Maintain packaging equipment including, but not limited to, machine adjustments, repairs, lubrication, etc. and perform routine preventative maintenance to maintain efficient operation.
  • Active participation in training and certification program as needed by training all Technical Line Operators in technical aspects of machinery including set-ups, changeovers, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate changeover requirements with all affected personnel and departments.
  • Execute the total productive maintenance program assigned by the machine, participate in, and follow up on all related activities.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

 

  • 3 – 5 years of proven maintenance experience in a fast-paced lean manufacturing environment.
  • Strong maintenance aptitude includes knowledge of three phrases electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC controls.
  • Shop math skills.
  • Strong trouble-shooting ability required

 

Work Environment

 

  • Manufacturing environment, hot and cold conditions, loud noises, smells

 

Equipment Used and Physical Demands

 

  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Standing, kneeling, bending, use of fingers and hands

 

Expected Hours of Work

 

  • Monday – Friday, overtime as needed, some Saturdays

 

Required Education and Experience

 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3-5 years of proven maintenance mechanical experience in a fast-paced lean manufacturing environment preferred.
