Job Overview:

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Lead to join our Client's Plating Company team in North Hollywood, CA. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance operations of our facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Training will be from 7am-3:30pm. The person needs to be hands on and can work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the floor manager, the job involves routine maintenance of all shop equipment (air compressors, boiler, rectifiers, and electrical equipment) and overall repairs. The ideal candidate would have many of the following skills and or be willing to learn. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm, with overtime as needed.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure optimal facility operations.
  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support in troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify and address potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for all tasks.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to ensure the facility is running at peak capacity.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of plating equipment, machinery, and related systems.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Collaborate with production and other departments to identify and prioritize projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Coordinate major repairs with outside vendors (air compressor, boiler, chiller, etc.)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.
