Job Description: Maintenance Generalist (MG02 LEAD)
Position Summary: The Maintenance Generalist MG02 Lead role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, assisting in the maintenance and repair of equipment, and ensuring the upkeep of company assets along with shift oversight responsibilities. The role requires adherence to Tyson Foods' safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assemble and disassemble equipment.
• Housekeeping Responsibilities.
• Operate and maintain mobile equipment.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Engage in physical activities such as climbing, standing, bending sitting, and carrying/pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs multiple times monthly.
• Work in varying conditions, including hot and cold environments.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Work safely at heights.
• Lead responsibilities require shift oversight when required, including scaling operations, driver and customer communication, batching and weighing duties and direction of daily tasks of team members.
• External Requirements:
• Up to six months of work experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance position; experience in agriculture milling maintenance is preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
Ability to work at heights.
• Obtain and retain a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification (three-year certification).
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
