Work schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 6 PM - 6 AM (Wednesday 6 PM - 12 AM) Approx.

Job description:

· Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

· Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.

· Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.

· Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.

· Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.

· Complete appropriate paperwork and reports

· Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.

· Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.

· Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.

· Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision

· Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.

· The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.

· Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70lbs.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an industrial maintenance program (proof of enrollment required) or have 6 months of experience working in an industrial maintenance or 1 year of classroom training from technical college (proof of training with passing grade required) or must have graduated from a technical college with a certification in Electronics technology or industrial maintenance technology. Industrial maintenance will be considered work as a fabricator, electrician, or plant maintenance.

  • There is 180 days (6 months) waiting period for former Tyson Foods team members.

  • Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.

  • Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.

  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
