Position Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support a high-volume manufacturing operation by driving equipment reliability, troubleshooting complex issues, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

This role blends hands-on electrical troubleshooting, PLC support, project execution, and data-driven decision making to reduce downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and controls-related issues on production equipment (motors, sensors, drives, PLC-controlled systems)
  • Support and modify PLC programs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) for troubleshooting and process improvements
  • Lead and support maintenance and capital projects (CapEx) including equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and implement reliability improvements
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues
  • Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Utilize CMMS systems to track work orders, maintenance history, and performance metrics
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong experience with electrical troubleshooting (motors, VFDs, sensors, controls)
  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  • Experience leading or supporting projects (CapEx, process improvements, equipment upgrades)
  • Ability to analyze data and drive data-based decision making
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance metrics

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with high-speed manufacturing or automated production lines
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems or advanced controls
  • Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement experience
  • Exposure to predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, etc.)
