Position Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support a high-volume manufacturing operation by driving equipment reliability, troubleshooting complex issues, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
This role blends hands-on electrical troubleshooting, PLC support, project execution, and data-driven decision making to reduce downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and controls-related issues on production equipment (motors, sensors, drives, PLC-controlled systems)
- Support and modify PLC programs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) for troubleshooting and process improvements
- Lead and support maintenance and capital projects (CapEx) including equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and implement reliability improvements
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues
- Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Utilize CMMS systems to track work orders, maintenance history, and performance metrics
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong experience with electrical troubleshooting (motors, VFDs, sensors, controls)
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Experience leading or supporting projects (CapEx, process improvements, equipment upgrades)
- Ability to analyze data and drive data-based decision making
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance metrics
Preferred Experience
- Experience with high-speed manufacturing or automated production lines
- Knowledge of SCADA systems or advanced controls
- Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement experience
- Exposure to predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, etc.)
