Position Summary:

The Maintenance Electrician is a highly skilled technician responsible for performing a wide range of electrical and general maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of plant and office facilities. This role includes advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical systems and equipment with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be qualified to perform electrical work at the journeyman level and possess a strong understanding of multiple maintenance disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures at the journeyman level.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Maintain and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with work orders, preventative maintenance, and project documentation.
• Conduct maintenance tasks across various trades, including:
•   - Carpentry
•   - Painting
•   - Pipe fitting
•   - Masonry
•   - Plumbing
•   - Steam fitting
•   - Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
•   - Welding and sheet metal work
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned within this and related classifications.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification required.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical maintenance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
• Experience with CMMS systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
• Use of hand and power tools, electrical testing equipment, and PPE.
• Exposure to industrial environments, including varying temperatures, noise levels, and confined spaces.
