We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician – Electrical to support our operations in a high-demand, heavy industrial environment. This role is essential to the ongoing success of one of the world’s largest steel producers. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems and components using both standard and specialized tools. Work environments vary across plant locations and may include challenging conditions such as heat, noise, and exposure to grease or water.
Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair a broad range of electrical and electronic systems
Interpret schematics and work with AC/DC systems and PLCs
Provide support to operating teams as needed
Work independently or with other technicians with minimal supervision
Operate mobile equipment, pendant and overhead cranes, forklifts, and other specialized tools
Rotate through various plant areas as needed, adapting to environmental conditions
Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or industrial electrical experience, or equivalent education/training (including military experience)
Proficient in any of the following: industrial electronics, motors and controls, schematics and power systems, electrical maintenance, commercial installation, instrumentation, or PLCs
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts (7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, 11pm–7am), with flexibility for occasional 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am)
Available for overtime and weekend/holiday coverage as needed
Strong adherence to safety protocols, including use of PPE: hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses, metatarsal boots, and protective clothing
