Overview
A manufacturing facility in Shelby Township is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support third shift operations. This role focuses on electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. If you have strong electrical maintenance experience in a plant environment, this is a solid long term opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and identify root causes to prevent repeat issues
- Inspect equipment and verify compliance with electrical and safety standards
- Work with other maintenance personnel to complete repairs, upgrades, and continuous improvement tasks
- Document all maintenance activities clearly and accurately
- Assist with installing or modifying electrical systems, panels, and components
- Respond to breakdowns and urgent electrical issues to minimize downtime
- Support preventative maintenance efforts on motors, drives, sensors, and control systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal electrical training or apprenticeship preferred
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial controls, circuits, and safety procedures
- Ability to read schematics, ladder logic, and technical diagrams
- Experience working with PLCs, motors, drives, and automation equipment
- Solid troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working independently on third shift and available for overtime if needed
