Job Overview:

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Electrician to support our automotive manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and CNC machinery to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong experience with CNC equipment, industrial controls, and automated manufacturing environments. This role will be working the weekend shift schedule, which is Friday-Sunday working 12 hour days. You will train on our day shift before moving to the weekend shift. The weekend shift qualifies for a premium shift pay on top of your hourly wage

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and associated automation equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and control systems including PLCs, HMIs, drives, and servo systems
  • Diagnose equipment issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools
  • Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and machine components
  • Support production by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime
  • Maintain and repair power distribution systems, motors, sensors, and control panels
  • Assist with robotic systems and automated processes where applicable
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, including OSHA and company policies
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members, engineers, and production staff to improve equipment performance

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or electrical apprenticeship preferred
  • 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance electrician experience, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience working with CNC machines and automated production equipment
  • Knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), troubleshooting and basic programming
  • Experience with drives, motors (AC/DC), servo systems, and controls
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manual
