Position Overview

The Maintenance Electrician plays a critical role in supporting continuous manufacturing operations within a fast-paced industrial environment. This position offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems while helping ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, working with advanced automation technologies, and making a direct impact on plant performance.

The ideal candidate will bring strong troubleshooting skills, experience with PLCs, VFDs, and 480V three-phase systems, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair a broad range of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrically and mechanically driven operating systems to minimize downtime and support continuous production.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, including AC/DC controls and systems.
  • Work with PLC-controlled equipment and assist with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Operate production equipment as needed while performing repairs to maintain continuous operations.
  • Support operating functions and collaborate with maintenance technicians and production personnel as required.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a maintenance team based on operational needs.

Desired Skills & Knowledge

  • Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience working in a machine shop environment preferred.
  • PLC programming skills and formal training are a plus.
  • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Ability to troubleshoot 480V three-phase motor control systems.
  • Basic welding skills are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly disciplined, safety-oriented, and detail-focused.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, logical thinking, and a team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.

Shift Requirement

  • Ability to work 2nd Shift: 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with management teams while adhering to established workplace policies and procedures.
