Job Overview:

 

ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support ongoing activities on our Kirtland AFB Engineering Operations Services (KEOS) contract at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary:

  • The Maintenance Electrician performs preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure that all electrical work complies with the National Electric Code (NEC) and KAFB Design Guide Standards.
  • Maintains and repairs low voltage (600 volts and below) real property electrical systems to meet the NEC, and applicable jurisdictional references, to ensure safe and reliable electrical systems.
  • Responsible for transformers, streetlights, grounding equipment, and other systems to achieve the most efficient and economical usage of electrical power.
  • Responds to customer service calls in a timely, and efficient manner, troubleshoots, and repairs as needed. Performs service tasks required to fulfill service requirements for time, material, emergency service, test, and inspect contractual agreements.
  • Completes necessary documentation in accordance with the company’s processes and the customer’s service requirements.
  • Communicates with central dispatch, shop lead, and supervisor on current work order status and receives updates on outstanding customer issues daily following the service process(es).
  • Participates in an after-hours on-demand service program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical and fire alarm systems for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
  • Repair malfunctions by such methods as replacing burned out elements, fuses, and replacing defective wiring, cleaning, and repairing motors.
  • Test electrical equipment, such as motors, heaters, and controls for safety and efficiency, using standard test equipment and by observing functions.
  • Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment.
  • Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
