Summary:  The Delivery Driver is responsible for making local/regional company and customer product deliveries using a company truck or van. 

Schedule1st shift, Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, five or more days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, or similar. Training may occur at other times.

Salary Range: $20.00 To 23.00 Hourly

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist plant management in maintaining a proactive preventative maintenance program
  • Safely troubleshoot mechanical/electrical problems
  • Maintain hardware and software by responding to emergency service requests including diagnosing problems, ordering parts as needed, completing repairs or recommending solutions
  • Participate in installation and removal of equipment
  • Conduct routine checks and service equipment as required
  • Provide production with clear proactive information on service issues
  • Ensure completion of assignments by meeting quality/quantity specifications and requirements
  • Complete and process all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. 
  • Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s) 
  • Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist in cultivating an interdependent safety culture by reporting workplace hazards, related injuries, illnesses and or/near misses to management immediately
  • Attend all department/company meetings
  • Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required. 
  • Deliver jobs in a timely manner to defined route/delivery area via use of GPS safely and follow appropriate directions
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established transportation/traffic procedures
  • Maintain company vehicle in proper compliant working order by inspecting vehicle, supplies, and equipment such as: gas, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes, etc.
  • Conduct daily safety checks of vehicles
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with company vehicles
  • Verify the customer order manifest against shipping and delivery documents
  • Report delivery delays, traffic conditions/situations to other drivers and base
  • Report any/all vehicle accidents, near miss incidents, traffic violations or change in your DMV status
  • Comply with all company work safety rules, regulations and protocol
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Report any/all workplace hazards to management immediately
  • Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
  • Report any/all work related injuries or illnesses to supervisor immediately
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCES: 

- Good experience and knowledge of local roads, routes, congestion times, etc. 

Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years related field experience diagnosing and troubleshooting basic electrical problems using diagrams or blueprints

Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years related field experience maintaining electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems

Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology

- Previous experience with deliveries to business customers 

- Valid Class C driver’s license 

- Clean DMV record 

- Forklift experience, preferred   

- Bilingual (Spanish), preferred 

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Effectively communicate orally and written in English with all members of the internal organization as well as external customers   
  • Adaptable skillset to work within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business environment   
  • Customer service oriented, ability to listen actively and manage potentially difficult customer experiences with patience and professionalism ensuring customers receive a positive experience   
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment   
  • Detail-oriented, accuracy focused, and organized work ethic including efficient time management skills, with proven track record of completion of tasks/assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to the component level
  • Working knowledge of materials and chemicals used in the printing industry
  • Basic math skills, ability to perform mathematical functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Knowledge of high and low voltage wiring, capability of identifying and qualifying single phase as well as three phase power requirements
  • Ability to operate gas and electrical forklifts
  • Effectively communicate orally and written with all members of the internal organization as well as external customers
  • Ability to work flexible, extended hours and weekends as required for business needs
  • Reading comprehension in relation to job
  • Detail-oriented and organized work ethics include efficient time management skills, with proven track record of completion of tasks/assignments
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This is an on-site position requiring the employee to be present physically   
  • Assist warehouse shipping department with wrapping of skids, maintenance of inventory, and other tasks as assigned 
  • This position requires constant or frequent standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, stopping, crouching, and reaching

  • Frequent use of hands/fingers to operate machine and/or handle and grasp product

  • Frequent lifting or moving product weighing up to 50 pounds at or above shoulder level
