Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a full-time Craftsman (Electrician) to join our Matthews, NC team.

  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Troubleshoot and solve work-related problems.
  • Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints
  • Knowledge using CMMS Software
  • Implement the preventive maintenance program for production machinery and equipment as directed by the Manager
  • Performing routine preventive maintenance
  • Maintaining the building equipment
  • Basic knowledge of calibrations
  • Assist in project work as assigned.
  • Understands and applies applicable quality system procedures.
  • References quality system documentation as appropriate.
  • Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
  • Follows safety practices and maintains housekeeping standards.

  • Able to perform basic math using a calculator.
  • Able to use a computer to retrieve emails and other electronic information.
  • Knowledge and use of electronic systems such as Prism, Wonderware, SharePoint, and email.
  • Able to perform mechanical measurements

  • Good organizational skills.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Able to use a ladder
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. Able to crawl under space and confine space
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Good housekeeping skills are a must.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Self-motivator; ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a craftsman, electromechanics, or maintenance technician experience
  • Board certification or equivalent experience in one or more of the following fields: electrical wiring, welding, HVAC maintenance, pipe fitting, or hydraulics.
  • Excellent skill in all major areas of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
  • Excellent skill in the repair of production equipment mechanical problems
  • Excellent skill in milling of metals, servicing of boilers, mechanical troubleshooting and/or electrical troubleshooting, compressed air equipment, and painting.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations as they pertain to plant operation and maintenance
  • Good experience with plant safety and fire protection systems.
  • Good experience using CMMS Software
