What You Will Be Doing

You will provide leadership and daily supervision to maintenance associates while ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimized. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead maintenance technicians through performance planning and Continuous Improvement Discussions to align expectations and meet departmental goals

  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce equipment-related downtime and improve maintenance efficiency

  • Coordinate maintenance and repair improvement projects, including ordering required parts

  • Develop, delegate, and conduct training programs for technicians

  • Support manufacturing through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvement initiatives

  • Delegate and participate in daily maintenance and repair activities

  • Participate in daily production meetings and line walk-throughs, communicating findings and results

  • Monitor and manage maintenance budgets

  • Track manufacturing downtime and implement countermeasures based on downtime reports

  • Manage tools and spare parts systems to ensure availability

  • Maintain and update spare parts within the CMMS system

  • Issue preventive maintenance tasks and verify completion within Maximo

  • Post and update downtime percentage charts monthly

  • Update technician goal planners monthly and conduct Continuous Improvement Discussions

  • Develop and monitor Before/After and PDCA initiatives tied to downtime and performance data

  • Monitor task boards and ensure timely completion of assigned work

  • Maintain cleanliness standards across maintenance areas and assembly lines

  • Support initiatives that improve Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Development

How You Will Qualify

  • Associate degree in Maintenance or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (5 years preferred)

  • 1+ year of supervisory experience in an industrial maintenance environment (3 years preferred)

  • Knowledge of robotic dispensing, soldering, screw driving, product handling, electrical testing, and vision systems

  • Lean Manufacturing experience including Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Gemba activities

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with robotics and pneumatics preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Experience with PLC, HMI, robotic systems, and PC-based control systems

  • Knowledge of machine vision systems

  • Strong analytical and training and coaching abilities

  • Experience with maintenance management systems, preferably Maximo

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and manuals

Working Conditions

  • Office environment approximately 2 hours per day

  • Manufacturing cleanroom environment approximately 6 hours per day

  • Warehouse and equipment handling duties 5 to 10 days per year

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

  • Approximately 6 hours per day on feet

  • Approximately 4 hours per day bending and working in, around, or under machinery

  • Use of pallet jacks, carts, and racks for equipment handling

  • Required gowning and footwear changes for office and cleanroom areas

  • Occasional overnight travel for training or remote support

  • Overtime may be required to meet customer and production demands

Hazards

This role involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, elevated temperatures, and moderate noise levels. Hearing protection may be required in designated areas.
