Job Title: Maintenance Automation Technician (2nd Shift)

Job Type: Full-time | 2nd Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, highly motivated Maintenance Automation Technician to support 2nd shift operations. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and optimize automated production machinery, industrial controls, robotics, and plant infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong analytical mindset who thrives both independently and within cross-functional teams to minimize equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Controls & Automation: Maintain, troubleshoot, and modify PLC programs (Allen-Bradley and Siemens), HMIs, servo drives, vision systems, relay logic, and industrial networking.

  • Mechanical & Electrical Repair: Perform root-cause troubleshooting and repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Equipment Coverage: Service a wide array of manufacturing assets, including CNC machining centers, presses, furnaces, grinders, gear shapers, and robotics.

  • Facility Infrastructure: Support plant electrical distribution systems (transformers, switchgear, busbars) as well as HVAC, dust/fume collectors, and fire suppression systems.

  • Continuous Improvement: Partner with engineering and operations to resolve systemic process issues, source vendor components/tooling, and contribute to CI initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise with Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms, multi-axis robotics, basic CNC systems, and power transmission mechanics.

  • Core Competencies: Advanced troubleshooting abilities across high-voltage/low-voltage electrical circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

  • Soft Skills: Clear technical communication, strong organizational abilities, and multi-tasking skills under operational demand.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally for off-site vendor/equipment training (
