Job Overview:

Night Shift (7p-7a) (2-2-3 Schedule)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, equipment, and components used in plastic extrusion and vacuum-forming processes.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain 480V 3-phase industrial electrical systems and 24VDC control systems.
  • Diagnose and correct mechanical and electrical malfunctions to minimize production downtime.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC systems and motor control circuits.
  • Calibrate sensors, controllers, and other automation components to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform equipment overhauls and modifications to enhance production efficiency.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, megohmmeters.
  • Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems for production equipment.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records through work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Collaborate with production teams and external vendors for optimal equipment operation and improvements.
  • All other obligations must be completed as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferred or relevant experience / schooling
  • Proficiency with 480V 3-phase power systems and 24VDC control systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and conveyors.
  • Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and troubleshooting Drives
  • Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Technology preferred.
  • Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat and noise.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders as required.
