Starting Salary: $92,400 to $138,700 Annually

Position Objective:
Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of mill, industrial plant, or other establishment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, on air required for operations.
Develops preventive maintenance program and focus on best practice techniques to insure reliability and continuous improvement.
Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement
Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
Manages department expenses to stay within budgetary guidelines.
Recommend and support capital projects from justification to timely & cost-efficient execution.
Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
Promote and support a safe and healthy working environment by eliminating hazards, training employees and enhancing safety awareness.
Supports the company’s Quality Management System
Exceed Customer requirements/expectations-This will apply to Quality, Delivery, Flexibility and Speed of Implementation with respect to all interactions.
Experience/Skills:
Five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
Excellent problem Solving, organizational & facilitation Skills
Project management experience
Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high awareness of deadlines
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
Education:
Two-year certification from college or technical school
