Key Responsibilities:
- Repair all plant equipment as directed on maintenance work requests or by Supervisor and document completion.
- Assure quality checks, tests, and procedures are carried out as required and follows all SQF requirements.
- Communicate status of repairs to oncoming shift and Supervisor.
- Responsible for logging out all equipment/parts needed to repair equipment.
- Monitor condition of company and Maintenance Department tools to insure proper and safe working condition.
- Responsible for determining parts needed to repair equipment and communicate to Management Systems Coordinator for order placement.
- Work safely at all times and follow all safety procedures including lockout tagout.
- All other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor and management.
Knowledge And Skill Requirements:
- Have working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and systems.
- Ability to use various hand tools, machine tools and welding equipment.
- Ability to read schematics. To read and use electrical schematics.
- Mechanical aptitude, logic and problem-solving ability to effectively repair and maintain building and machines.
- Work with little or no supervision; given proper instruction.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC power systems.
- Working knowledge of analog and digital circuitry fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of line voltage and low voltage DC controls.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Read, write, speak and understand English.
Training: On the job with qualified Maintenance
Experience: Maintenance experience recommended, but not required.
Physical Demands: Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Able to stand/sit for long periods.
