We are currently seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician/Manufacturing Mechanic.

Position Overview: Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

The Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance Technician supports the operations team by performing maintenance and repairs on facility and manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. All activities must uphold Rudolph Foods’ Mission, Vision, Core Values, and maintain high standards for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, eagerness to develop new skills, adaptability, and strong communication abilities. This position requires the flexibility to work daily, and weekend overtime as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot both mechanical issues and PLC-related errors.
  • Complete necessary repairs and document all work orders.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and employee safety protocols to protect personnel, customers, and consumers.
  • Maintain organized and clean workstations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Proper implementation of Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Obtain hot work permits for welding, cutting, grinding, or any activity requiring such authorization.
  • Comply with all food safety regulations.
  • Consistently wear hearing protection within plant areas.
  • Follow all general employee safety practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Two-year certificate from a college or technical school, or at least two years of documented industrial maintenance experience.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, particularly with packaging equipment, is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Education or training in electrical safety and PLC troubleshooting is essential.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Commitment to comply with OSHA safety standards and safe work practices as relevant to maintenance personnel.
