Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician supports the trailer production process by performing welding, equipment maintenance, and general facility upkeep within the Manufacturing Plant. This role ensures all systems and machinery are operating efficiently while contributing to the construction of high-quality trailers. The position requires working with a variety of tools, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and collaborating with other departments as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Weld raw materials to fabricate trailer parts according to specifications
Perform preventative maintenance on welders, forklifts, tractors, shop trucks, power tools, hand tools, paint equipment, roll-up doors, and other plant machinery
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility, inside and out
Prepare and assemble custom trailers as part of the production process
Ensure work meets established quality control standards
Learn and become proficient in other production roles, stepping in to assist other team members as necessary
Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring a safe work environment at all times
Required Skills/Abilities:
Welding experience preferred
Proficient with grinders, chop saws, torches (oxygen/acetylene), and general hand tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active, detail-oriented environment
Team-oriented, professional, and eager to contribute to a positive work environment
Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow all safety rules
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to successfully pass a background check
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Capacity to stand for extended periods
Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop, carry materials.
