Job Responsibilities
- Fabricate precision tooling and prototype parts
- Thorough knowledge and ability to set-up and operate lathes, mills and surface grinders
- Maintain and repair hot runner systems
- CNC set-up, program and operate
- Maintain, repair and retrofit injection mold components
- Weld, fabricate, rework or maintain tools, tooling, assemblies, manufacturing parts, production items and plant infrastructure
- Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet production specifications
- Work with engineers, and process technicians in regard to mold repairs, and repair in the machine
- Follows all safety standards and procedures according to OSHA and ANSI regulations and standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years experience in a machinist environment preferred
- Journeyman tool and die/machinist card is a plus
- Must be willing to stay current with technology through continuous education
- Excellent communication skills internally and externally
- Needs to be a strong team player, with exceptional organization and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of TIG welding
- Gibbs Cam and SolidWorks knowledge a plus
- Background in injection molding with the ability to maintain, repair and trouble shoot injection molds is a plus
