Job Description
Summary/Objective
The CNC Machinist – Turning is a key role responsible for producing precision components using CNC turning equipment within a job shop manufacturing environment. This position demands deep technical knowledge, attention to detail, and hands-on experience operating and programming CNC lathes. The machinist will interpret complex blueprints, set up machines, and maintain tight tolerances of ±.0004" to ensure parts meet strict quality and customer specifications. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety, this role is essential to the success of production operations.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This role operates in a job shop manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, cutting fluids, and industrial noise. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times on the shop floor.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and manual handling of materials. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime or weekend work as required to meet production schedules.
