Job Description

Key Job Objectives

• Safely operate the bolt manufacturing machine and associated equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
• Support production of approximately 4,000 bolts per month from the second bolt machine to maintain required manufacturing capacity.
• Set up, operate, and adjust machining equipment to manufacture bolts according to required specifications, drawings, and tolerances.
• Perform routine dimensional inspections and quality checks using appropriate measuring tools to ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent production, quality, and efficiency.
• Identify equipment, tooling, or process issues and work with supervision and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance, machine cleaning, and proper care of tooling and equipment.
• Minimize scrap, rework, and material waste by following established machining processes and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and machine-related documentation as required.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area and follow established housekeeping and workplace safety standards.
• Provide machining support in other areas of the operation as workload and production requirements dictate.
• Work collaboratively with other machinists, production personnel, quality, maintenance, and supervision to meet daily and monthly production goals.
