**POSITION SUMMARY:

** This position will primarily be programming, performing setups, and in charge of operation & scheduling of work for our Citizen Swiss lathe.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

**

• Perform Machinist Operations:

• - Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others.

   Set-up and operate machines in accordance with travelers and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.).
  

  • Create, edit and/or retrieve programs from system files and execute

  • Manufacture product that meets quality requirements.

    ¨NBSP;Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection

  • Meet time and schedule standards for assigned task

• Properly use the E2 management system to record job information

• Advise supervision of issues that arise

• Identify issues and opportunities in meeting cost requirements of assigned work

• Identify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities and communicate to proper 6S team leads

• Keep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levels

• Return all fixtures and tooling upon job completion

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

**

• Knowledge of Citizen Swiss Lathe

• A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture

• Organizational and time management skills

• Self starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work day/projects independently

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Knowledge and use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments; Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales

• Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on other various machines

• Basic math skills, to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication

**EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

**

• 3 years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment or manufacturing and technology degree

**

**CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIRED:

**

Valid driver’s license

**
