Description
The Astro Machine Works Machinist internship and co-op program provides an opportunity for current students to obtain valuable, applicable work experience while pursuing their technical education. Interns can make an impact on the business as well as to build essential technical, analytical and personal leadership skills. Interns will have the ability to work side-by-side with a highly skilled mentor in their field.
Primary Responsibilities
-Set up, adjust and operate CNC and Manual Lathes and Mills
-Reading and understanding customer prints
-Using CAD CAM Software
-Change tooling as needed
-Help solve machining problems related to machine
-Finishing/inspecting parts per print specifications
Upon graduation, students have the opportunity to apply for any available full-time positions. Astro Machine works is a PA Registered Machinist Apprenticeship Training Center and we offer on-the-job training as well as reimbursement for any additional training and education needed to acquire the Machinist Journeyperson Certificate.

Requirements
Applicants must be attending a CTC High School Program, 2 yr or 4 yr post secondary education in Machining, Computer Integrated Machining or related field.
