Your Role as a Machinist II:

  • Set up and operateCNC, manual lathes, machineryto fabricate or modify parts.
  • Leadbalancing processes. Adding or removing weight from industrial rollers to eliminate vibration at specific customer-defined speeds. This is acritical functionand focal point of the role, requiring precision, attention to detail, and an understanding of mechanical dynamics.
  • Performbasic weldingand ensure precise machining according to specifications.
  • Operateoverhead cranessafely to handle materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints with attention to detail.
  • Use micrometers and other precision tools with accuracy to0.0001”.
  • Apply yourbasic understanding of metallurgyto improve production processes.
  • Ensure quality and efficiency in every project.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Extensive machining experience, including manual lathe operation.
  • **Balancing background-**adding or removing weight from industrial rollers to eliminate vibration at specific customer-defined speeds.
  • Proven ability to indicate parts accurately.
  • Strong skills in usingmicrometersand precision tools.
  • Experience withoverhead crane usageand material handling.
  • A solid understanding ofmetallurgyand machining best practices.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
