Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, align, and secure workpieces, fixtures, and tooling on CNC and manual machines
  • Machine components from HY-80, HY-100, stainless steel, Inconel, and other submarine-grade alloys
  • Read and execute work from complex blueprints, GD&T callouts, and technical documents
  • Inspect and document measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators to meet Navy quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years machining complex submarine, aerospace, defense, nuclear, or similarly critical components
  • Demonstrated CNC programming proficiency (lathe and mill)
  • Ability to perform full setup, edit existing programs, and apply offsets
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and GD&T
  • Working knowledge of shop math and basic trigonometry for layout
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and accurate documentation
  • Ability to work independently with occasional supervision
  • U.S. citizen, not a dual citizen of any other country
